The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Mai-Martaba Alhaji ( Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has admonished intending Pilgrims on Lesser Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to pray fervently for peace and harmony to continue to reign in the country.
He added that peaceful coexistence, religious harmony and prevention of breakdown of law and order are the major catalysts that can facilitate the actualization of the desired growth in nation.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari stated this in a goodwill message issued on Monday by his Press Secretary, Dr. Abdulazeez Arowona, stressing that, “I urge you all to use this auspicious occasion of Umrah pilgrimage to intensify effort for fervent prayers for Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State, Nigeria and humanity at large for the actualization of global peace amidst ongoing tension and insecurity among other social vices.
He also appealed to Pilgrims from Kwara State and Nigerians in general to be good Ambassadors of the nation throughout their stay in Makkah and Madinnah and shun all acts capable of labeling and projecting Nigeria in bad image.
He also sent his goodwill messages to Muslim Ummah whose intention is to perform Itikhaf in jumat mosques across the country, besieging Almighty to make it easy for them with absolute acceptance and maximum rewards.
The Emir therefore prayed for a successful Umrah exercise in sound health and Allah’s providence as well as protect the family members they left behind at home.
