OBIdient Movement Funds Education, Donates N25m to Bauchi Schools

Date:

The OBIdient Movement, led by former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, has donated a total of N25 million to three schools in Bauchi State to support education, scholarships and infrastructure development.

The donation went to Milikiya College of Nursing Sciences and Thomas Moore College of Health Technology, which received N10 million each, while Madarasatul Intisharul Islam in Yelwan Tudu received N5 million alongside a scholarship awarded to a high-performing student, Amina Abubakar Ahmed.

Obi, during visits to the institutions, praised the effective use of earlier donations, particularly improvements in learning facilities and ICT upgrades, while stressing the need for sustained investment in education and equal access to learning opportunities.

He also raised concerns about insecurity affecting education in the country, urging safer environments for children, and announced additional financial support to assist indigent students and strengthen institutional development across the beneficiary schools.

School administrators across the three institutions commended Obi’s contributions, noting that previous donations had improved academic standards and infrastructure, while assuring that the latest funds would be properly utilised.
