Justice AbdulMuttalib Ambali’s demise, great loss to humanity Emir Sulu-Gambari

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has commiserated with the family of Hon. Justice AbdulMuttalib Ahmad Ambali OFR, who died on Thursday after a brief illness.

The Emir who expressed sadness over the demise of the jurist confirmed that “indeed, the people Ilorin Emirate in particular, Kwara State and Nigeria in general have lost another great Icon and patriotic citizen of inestimable values and character”, according to a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Friday.

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari also recalled the deceased’s numerous contributions to the propagation of Islamic monotheism through his highly intellectual debates, public lectures and written literatures as well as regular radio programme tagged: “Sunnatul Nabbiy” which have become veritable references to both younger and yet unborn generations shall remain evergreen.

He said: “We have indeed lost another Icon in Ilorin and we shall continue to miss his oratory and intellectual guidance to both young and old in the society. Even at retirement, he was active and more committed to scholarship and his prowess in Shariah Law.”

While commiserating with the immediate and extended family members of late Hon.Justice AbdulMuttalib Ahmad Ambali OFR, the monarch extended his condolence to the entire Adabiyyatul Kamaliyah Movement worldwide, Grand Khadi and members of the State Sharia Court of Appeal as well as government and people of Kwara State over the great loss.

The emir prayed that Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds and admit him into al-janatul firdaos.
