Emir Sulu-Gambari’s 27th coronation anniversary prayer holds Nov. 11

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR will on Friday 11th November 2022 clock 27 years on the throne as the 11th Emir of Ilorin.

However, Special prayers for the historic event will hold on Friday by 10am at the Madrasat Shehu Alimi at the Emir’s palace premises, according to a statement issued by the Emir’s spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, on Monday.

The prayer is to be led by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Dr. Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu (OON) and other Islamic clerics across the Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

The statement added that the 27th coronation anniversary prayer is to be followed by a special jumat service at the Ilorin Central Mosque.

“Sons, daughters and residence of Ilorin Emirate, association and groups are hereby urged to be part of the occasion. We urge them to continue to pray for peaceful coexistence as well as long reign of His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, on the throne with sound health and absolute comfort”, the statement added.

Similarly, Colloquium in honour of the Emir organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists,
(NUJ) in conjuction with the Ilorin Emirate Council will also hold on Thursday 10th November 2022 by 10am at the Banquet Hall opposite Government House, Ilorin.

Members of the public, traditional chiefs and well wishers are urged to participate in the occasion aimed at celebrating with the frontline traditional ruler in grand style.
