“Focus on Achievements, Not Tinubu’s Health” Kalu Tells Politicians

Date:

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North, has downplayed concerns over President Bola Tinubu’s health, confirming the president’s upcoming official state visit to Japan.

Speaking in a video posted on his Facebook page, the former Abia State governor addressed the wave of speculation triggered by Tinubu’s absence from recent public events. While critics suggested the president was critically ill, the presidency has maintained he is in good health and working from home.

Kalu urged Nigerians and political figures to abandon what he described as “nonsense” and focus instead on the achievements of the Tinubu-led administration.

“Nigerian people and politicians should stop this rumour and focus on what we are doing. We have done so many things, and we will continue to be on track,” he said.

When asked directly about the president’s health status, Kalu remarked, “Even if he is not in good health, somebody can be sick and he will get better to do his travels.”

According to Kalu, Tinubu’s itinerary includes a state visit to Japan, a stopover in Brazil, and a return to Nigeria before attending the United Nations General Assembly in September. “The president is in good shape, let’s stop all this nonsense,” he insisted.
