Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release a commemorative coin of Rs 75 denomination to mark the long-standing relations between the Food and Agruculture Organisation (FAO) and his country.

The 75th anniversary of the organisation comes up on Oct. 16.

The prime minister’s office said in a statement on Wednesday that Modi would also dedicate to the country 17 recently developed biofortified varieties of eight crops.

The event marks the highest priority accorded by the government to agriculture and nutrition, and is a testament of the government’s resolve to completely eliminate hunger, undernourishment, and malnutrition.
