Job racketeering: Accusers of FCC chairman, Dankaka are chauvinists -Group

Oduduwa Development Initiative, ODI, has risen in defense of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka over the recently accusation of job racketeering, saying the accusers are chauvinist because the position of the executive is being occupied by a female.

The group, in a statement signed by its National President, Ambassador Akinyele Olasumbo and made available to our correspondent in Abuja, said it “stands firm on the belief that the predictive abilities of the intellectual class are fundamental pillars of humanistic progress, hence its readiness to defend public office holders, irrespective of their tribe or ethnicity, whenever baseless attempts are made to tarnish their racial image or undermine their reputation.”

Olasunbo said the group was aware of a deeply disconcerting campaign of calumny and unfounded allegations, fuelled by ethnocentric chauvinists and gender-insensitive mischief makers.

It said “these faceless individuals are sponsoring a gender inequality advocacy and content-lacking initiative that aims to smear the good name of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) chairman, a charismatic and respected Yoruba Amazon with an impeccable track record of integrity.”

The group added that the malicious accusations of job racketeering in dollars seems like the very height of concoction with no clear proof that has currently been brought out of the pit of hell to smear the image and personality of Dr. Dankaka.

“It is indeed risible that these disgruntled fifth columnists have resorted to petty mudslinging, focusing on mere discrepancies in academic credentials as a means to distract from the chairman’s remarkable achievements.

“We must unequivocally state that such minute variances in academic documents do not diminish her capacity, ability, effectiveness, or pragmatism in transforming the commission.

“Since her assumption of duty, Dr. Muheeba Dankaka has consistently upheld the Federal Character principle, championing equity and fairness in the distribution of posts across the nation.

“The Oduduwa Development Initiative proudly acknowledges Dr. Muheeba Dankaka’s determination, poise, and unwavering dedication to duty. She handles all challenges with grace, making tough decisions without fear and illuminating the true potential of an unbiased administrator with uncompromising integrity,” he stressed.

The group, therefore, called on those behind the accusation to cease, while urging the President to consider providing Dankaka with adequate security considering the internal nature of enmity she’s imbued with while ignoring the baseless rantings of disillusioned elements and enemies of progress that are singing the songs of anarchy within the ranks of the commission.

“It is pertinent also to ensure the cleansing of potential interruptions in the good process of righteous responsibilities the commission is saddled with forthwith to ensure it’s smooth and unfettered running for optimal results,” the group added.
