Breaking….. Owo kingdom appoints new Olowo

Following the demise of Oba Victor Obateru Olagbegi , the Olowo-in-Council has finally appointed a new traditonal ruler for the ancient Kingdom of Owo, Ondo state.

He is Prince Ogunoye Ajibade Gbadegesin.
Gbadegesin emerged as the new king after polling 14 out of the 15 votes cast by the kingmakers to become the 32nd  Olowo of Owo.

Speaking after his emergence, the new monarch said this would be the first time the selection of a monarch will be peaceful

He commended other contestants for their spirit of sportsmanship and promised to work with every stakeholders for the development of Owo Kingdom.

He assured the people of the kingdom that his reign would usher new development to the town.
