Wrexham AFC goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo says the club is determined to make history by defeating Chelsea FC in their FA Cup fifth-round clash.
Wrexham will host Chelsea at the Racecourse Ground, which has a capacity of about 12,600, on Saturday.
Chelsea, who defeated Hull City in the previous round of the competition, head into the fixture as strong favourites to progress.
However, Okonkwo expressed confidence that Wrexham can spring a surprise and secure qualification at the expense of Chelsea.
“We always have the opportunity to create history here. Every season we play here, and every season I’ve had at Wrexham, there’s always been something we’ve been able to achieve,” he said ahead of the encounter.
The Nigerian goalkeeper added that he is familiar with Chelsea, having faced the club regularly during his time in the youth ranks of Arsenal FC.
