Gombe Gov. commiserates with families of auto-crash

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, has commiserated with families of the deceased persons of an auto crash in which three persons were killed and 18 others hospitalised.

Speaking during a condolence visit on Tuesday, the governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, said the visit was a demonstration of his concern for the wellbeing of the people of Dogon-Ruwa community in the Kaltungo Local Government Area, where the victims hailed from.

He also made a cash donation of N500,000 for the treatment of the injured as well as support to the deceased’s families.

“Governor Yahaya is saddened by the ghastly motor accident that claimed three lives with 18 others hospitalised,” he stated.

While noting the mortality of man’s existence on earth, the governor said no man has control over death and urged the families and the community to pray against a recurrence of such tragedy.

The District Head of Digon-Ruwa, Alhaji Bashar Rafi, appreciated the governor for the concern.
