Gov. AbdulRazaq, Engr. Sagaya mourn late Muzzamil Abdulkarim

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq received with sadness but total submission to the will of Allaah the death over the weekend of a former executive director at the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) Engineer Muzzamil Abdulkarim.

The Governor describes Engineer Muzzamil, who hailed from Ilorin, as a thoroughbred professional who mentored different generations of great engineers in the Nigerian power sector.

Engineer Muzzamil was a great community leader and a generous person who loved all and provided a shoulder upon which many young people leaned, the Governor adds.

His expertise, leadership qualities, and humility explain why he was held in high-esteem by colleagues and juniors in the power sector in Nigeria, according to the Governor.

Commiserating with the Elelu family of Ilorin, Governor AbdulRazaq asks Allaah, the Oft-forgiving and Merciful, to admit Engineer Muzzamil to al-jannah Firdaus and give succour to the family that succeeds him.

Similarly, the Principal Partner of Yola Consultants and Zanna of Ilorin, Engr. Yusuf ‘Lanre Sagaya OFR, has said that the demise of Engr. Muzzamil is a great loss to humanity stressing that, “He was a great friend, brother and confidant.

Sagaya who is also the Chairman of Ilorin Central Eid Prayer ground committee added that the deceased was a close allya and compatriot who was committed to fostering peaceful co-existence among young and old as well as influencing growth and development in humanity throughout his lifetimes.

He prayed that Almighty Allah accept his returns, forgive his shortcomings and grant Al-janatul firdaos.
