Nasarawa Gov distributes 600 metric tones of fertilizer to dry season farmers

GOVERNOR Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state, has flagged off the distribution of over six hundred metric tones of fertilizer to dry season farmers in the state for the 2022 season.

Speaking during the flag-off of the distribution in Lafia, the state capital on Wednesday, the Governor noted that the gesture was in line with his administration’s commitment to promote agriculture and enhance food security in the state.

He explained that the state government procured the fertilizer at the rate of N9,300 per bag and will the sold to farmers at a subsidised rate of seven thousand (N7,000) only.

Governor Sule maintained that the state government decided to make the commodity at the subsidised rate in order to boost production of food in the state, warning those responsible for the distribution against diversion.
