President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Afrobeats icon, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, on his 50th birthday.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president praised 2Baba’s remarkable contributions to Nigerian music and culture.
Tinubu described the legendary singer as a symbol of creativity, resilience, and the Nigerian spirit, noting that his career spanning over two decades has inspired generations at home and abroad.
“For more than 20 years, 2Baba has serenaded Nigeria and the world with soulful melodies, inspired countless young talents, and proudly carried the Nigerian flag across global stages,” Tinubu said.
He further highlighted the enduring legacy of 2Baba’s classic hit, African Queen, calling it an evergreen anthem that showcased the beauty of African music and placed Nigeria at the center of the global entertainment map.
