The Southern Kaduna Indigenes, in southern parts of Kaduna State area consistently ravaged by kidnappers and bandits have vowed to come up with their security outfits to secure the area against further armed attacks.
The indigenes, under the auspices of Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, SOKAPU made the
pledge following the worsening security challenges in Kaduna state, which also affects a greater part of the southern area of the state.
“Subsequently, SOKAPU resolved to establish a “natural security outfit” to defend themselves against those they considered as invaders and killers”, it stated.
Speaking during a radio program with Invicta radio, the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Comrade Luka Biniyat said that the state had put l little effort to protect the people of southern kaduna and the area is left vulnerable to attacks.
According to Biniyat, the Southern Kaduna security outfit will have our people to defend themselves, saying “despite the fact that we don’t have the finance and the legal backing, we intend to go on and defend ourselves naturally. Our youths and even the women are ready to defend against whoever comes to attack.”
He further pointed out that “the people of Southern Kaduna have suffered enough in the hands of militias and the people are being killed on a daily, and in fact, the killers paid by government of Kaduna state as compensation for killing the good people of Southern kaduna, and this has to stop.”
