Trump Says He Wants ‘Good’ Leader for Iran After Khamenei’s Death

United States President Donald Trump has outlined his vision for Iran’s future leadership following the reported death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, saying he wants a “good” leader and a complete overhaul of the country’s current structure.

In an interview with NBC News, Trump stated that Washington aims to “clean out everything” in Iran’s leadership system and prevent any new authority from rebuilding the existing framework over time.

He added that he has identified potential individuals who could lead Iran effectively but declined to provide names, reiterating that his administration does not want a leadership model that preserves the current political structure.

The comments come after the United States and its ally Israel launched military strikes targeting Iran, operations that reportedly resulted in the death of Khamenei and escalated tensions across the region.

Trump’s remarks signal continued U.S. pressure on Tehran amid the broader conflict, as discussions over Iran’s political future intensify following the leadership vacuum.
