The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasin, on Thursday emerged as the Vice President and Chairman of the African Region of the International Transport Federation, (ITF).

ROYAL NEWS reports that Yasin’s emergence was announced at the 9th regional conference holding at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton hotel Abuja.

He thanked delegates for the confidence repose in him and assured that he will use his wealth of experience to move the region forward globally and also called on member countries and ITF Global to give him all necessary assistance to ensure successful tenure.

Further checks revealed that the International Transport Federation, (ITF)  has its headquarters in London, United Kingdom with the objective of promoting and harmonizing member countries among others.
