Ajia salutes ex-SGF, Anyim @60, says he is unifier

Anyim Pius Anyim

A 2019 governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim Ajia, has saluted the doggedness and unifying spirit of the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Ajia, the President and Founder, Mohammed Ajia Ibrahim (MAI) Foundation, said Chief Anyim, who presided over the Nigerian Senate at the age of 39, bequeathed an incontrovertible legacy to the youth that they can attain greatness in life with tenacity of purpose and consistency.

In a special message commemorating the ex-Senate President birthday, the former governorship aspirant said the youth have a lot to learn from the sexagenarian-celebrant, describing him as a colossus, who has been impacting lives without tribal or ethnic consideration.

The security expert noted that the nation requires more of Chief Anyim to take it to the promised land of her founding fathers.

Describing the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation as leader of leaders and boss of bosses, Ajia said the life of his boss is synonymous with humility, selflessness, generosity and willingness to lift the less privileged.

“I write you with utmost sense of responsibility on this special day in your life. This is the day that the Almighty God has chosen to celebrate an iconic figure and colossus that you are. In fact, you are a rare gem among men.

“I’m bold to say without any equivocation that you have been leading a good life for the youthful generation to take a cue from. Little wonder that your life has become synonymous with humility, selflessness, generosity and willingness to lift the less privileged.

“In my own estimation, you are a worthy ambassador that all of us in our youthful moment must strive to emulate. This is simply because your exemplary character is infectious in all ramifications.

“At age 39, you inscribed your footprints in the sands of time and the nation’s political landscape in particular with your emergence as President of the Senate. The moment was most enthusing in our lives and it would linger for a long time to come.

“And most importantly, you crowned the services to your fatherland with your appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation in the government during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. That you are a rare gem and a distinguished Nigerian with vast experience in governance, having served in the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly and Executive Arm of government respectively, is no longer in doubt.

“Your Excellency sir, people like you are needed in propelling our nation to the promised land of her founding fathers. Indeed, the youthful generation needs to tap from your wealth of experience and pick up the gauntlet from the legacy you bequeathed to us in your services to the nation. You have shown us that with tenacity of purpose and consistency, we can attain greatness in life.

“I pray Almighty God to preserve you and open a new vista in your life so that we can continuously look up to you for wisdom and direction. Sir, I admire your doggedness and unifying spirit”, Ajia said.
