Ex-VP, Atiku Abubakar speaks on dumping PDP
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has denied the purported reports that he was planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Mr Paul Ibe, the Media Adviser team Abubakar stated this in a statement issued on Tuesday night in Abuja.
Ibe described the reports that the PDP Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general election wanted to dump the party as false, shameless and blatant display of political mischief.
He claimed that it was a malicious attempt by the present administration to sow discord and confusion among the populace, which couldn’t go unchallenged.
He said that the “report” was nothing but a pitiful attempt to deflect attention from the pressing issues plaguing the nation.
He said it was unacceptable to be engaging in cheap political theatrics than addressing the real challenges facing Nigerians, at a time when insecurity and poverty were confronting the nation.
Ibe said that in spite the nefarious machinations, Abubakar remained steadfast in his commitment to the PDP and the vital process of opposition party merger.
“Let there be no doubt: Abubakar is unwavering in his dedication to the PDP and the fight for a better Nigeria.
“As he urges the current administration to prioritise governance over petty politicking, let us stand united against the forces of corruption and oppression.
“The time for action is now, and Abubakar will not rest until justice prevails and the voice of the people is heard,” Ibe said. (NAN)
