My plans for Kwara workers if elected ……–Guber candidate

Ahead of the forthcoming 2019 general elections, the Governorship Candidate of the United Democratic Party in Kwara State, Mr. Adetunji Oyabambi, has promised to pay workers in the state the new national minimum wage if elected.
He stated this while speaking with journalists at the Ilorin International Airport, ROYAL NEWS reports.
He disclosed that his government would take the plight of workers paramount as well as improve on their well-being in the areas of housing scheme, soft loans, training and retraining of the entire state workforce.
According to him, “New minimum wage is possible. First of all, we are going to ensure that our workers are well paid and ensure that retirees get their money as at when due because they worked for it and it is their entitlements.
“I believe Kwara state generates IGR from taxes and levies, this must be adequately utilized to improve the well-being of tax payers and improve on the infrastructure of the state”.
He also noted that his programmes would be based party’s ideologies while attention would be focused on security, health, Agriculture, power and Education.
 Oyabambi who explained that his government would be driven by the youth as they constituted larger percentage of the state’s population, cautioned the youths not to be allowed to be used by desperate politicians as agents of destruction or as political thugs.
