“We are very optimistic that PDP will take over the affairs of both Zamfara and the country in general”. These were the words of Professor Kaya of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), when he addressed thousands of supporters of the party in Gusau, capital of the State during the week.
Professor Kaya who led a powerful consultation team of Bukola Saraki for 2023 elections explained that from what transpired recently, Zamfara and Nigeria at large, there is no doubt that the popularity of the party that deceived people of the country for almost a decade, has gradually declined.
According to Kaya, who was also in company of Senator Ibrahim Bugaje, they were in Zamfara to solicit their support in the 2023 general elections.
The Professor who vowed to give the nation a befitting look if Bukola Saraki was elected into office, also assured the people of the country of the intention of their boss to get rid of insecurity which the APC led administration failed to address for over one decade.
He also explained that he is optimistic that PDP will get back its lost glory from those who snatched it.
“Any way, I don’t think there is any doubt that our party will bounce back, because everybody knew that we won and that is why the court gave us. But to our dismay, the person given the power to, by the court, shamelessly abandoned the party for another and forgetting the finger that fed him.”
Speaking further, the team assured the recently impeached deputy governor of the State of their continued support and loyalty to him as he was unconstitutionally removed from office. “One will wonder how on earth, a person like Zamfara governor will go against the constitutional provisions, a person that was brought to power by the law, in other words, by court”, added the leader of the team of advocacy.
He said instead of the governor to concentrate on how to bring about peace and unity among the people he rules, he only became so cheap in the trick of some very few individuals that will eventually take him to a ditch.
