The National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), Kwara State Chapter will on Wednesday, January 11,2023 hold its annual lecture.

The theme of the lecture which shall take place at the NUJ Press Centre, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara State is ” Towards A Peaceful 2023 General Elections”. The programme will commence by 10am.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Chairman Planning Committee, Alhaji AbdulRazaq Adebayo, and its Secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, on Wednesday.

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is expected to be the special guest of honour at the event while a legal icon, Mallam Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN) is the guest lecturer.

The royal fathers of day are the Emir of Ilorin and chairman, Kwara State traditional council, Alh Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius Amuludun Iluyomade I, Emir of Shonga, Dr Yahaya Haliru, Onipe of Ipee, Oba Mufutau Adebayo Lawal Titiloye III and Olojoku of Ojoku, Oba Abdulrasaq Afolabi Iyiolasemi II.

The guests of honour include the gubernatorial candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Alh Abdullahi Shuaib Yaman,NNPP,
Prof Shuaib Oba AbdulRaheem,Labour Party,
Comrade Abubakar Basambo,SDP, Alh Hakeem Lawal and YPP, Waziri Yakubu Gobir.

Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates of all political parties are also expected at the event.
